Perry, who's been rumored to be the subject of Swift's latest single, has registered the song called '1984' which fans think is a reference to the former country star's '1989' album.

AceShowbiz - Things between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift will apparently get uglier. The "Roar" hitmaker's music publisher BMI has revealed via its website that she has registered a new song called "1984" which may be a response to the former country sweetheart's "Bad Blood".

Still having no release date, "1984" was co-written by Dallas Austin, Andreas Carlsson, Patrick Collier and Nazerine Tokio. Fans are speculating that the song's title, named after the year Perry was born, is a reference to Swift's "1989" album.

Rumors claiming that "Bad Blood" was crafted with Perry in mind have been swirling since Swift revealed in last year's interview with Rolling Stone that the song was about a fellow female entertainer she refused to name who once tried to sabotage her tour. "She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me," she claimed.

Seemingly responding to Swift's statement, Perry later tweeted, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."

Swift has never directly confirmed or denied that "Bad Blood", which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and is now sitting at No. 2, is about Perry. However, multiple sources can confirm it is.
