Executive producer Howard Gordon says FOX is developing a '24' spin-off that focuses on a new twentysomething male terrorist hunter.

AceShowbiz - After being revived in a limited series, "24" may get a spin-off. Executive producer and showrunner of the original series, Howard Gordon, told TVLine at the Critics Choice Television Awards on Sunday, May 31 that FOX was developing a "24" spin-off centering a new male lead character.

The plan is to pair the twentysomething male terrorist hunter with "an older, more seasoned female agent." It's noted that the said female agent is not Yvonne Strahovski's Kate Morgan, although there's a chance she appears on the spin-off. The project is currently envisioned as a limited series, but may get more seasons in the future. Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer may also appear as a guest star throughout the run of the spin-off.

Manny Coto and Evan Katz, who worked on "24: Live Another Day", will serve as writers and executive producers on the spin-off alongside Gordon. Other details of the project are not available, but Gordon previously said the spin-off would maintain the "real-time concept" and would be still "in the tradition of '24'."
