Ryan Reynolds Hopes for Wolverine Appearance in 'Deadpool'
Movie

The actor who plays the titular character in 'Deadpool' hopes Wolverine will make appearance in the film, saying that 'that would be really nice.'

AceShowbiz - As Marvel's anti-hero movie "Deadpool" is currently underway, Ryan Reynolds teased fans with news about possible appearance of a familiar mutant. In an interview with news.com.au., the actor noted that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine might appear in "Deadpool".

Last year, Jackman confirmed that "The Wolverine 3" would mark his last performance as the clawed mutant. But before his last appearance as Marvel superhero, he may get an opportunity to play the clawed mutant in another Marvel movie alongside Deadpool, his villain in the comic.

While promoting "Woman in Gold", Reynolds was asked if fans would see Wolverine in "Deadpool". The actor answered, "God I hope so, that would be really nice. I dunno, we'll see. It seems like he's open to it, but it's gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else."

Based on Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, "Deadpool" tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Reynolds leads the cast which includes Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand and Ed Skrein. Tim Miller serves behind the lens while Lauren Shuler Donner produces the movie. It is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on February 12, 2016.
