'I'm not happy about it. Obviously not one second I'm happy about it,' the celebrated tennis player blasted French Open security after the fan's selfie attempt.

AceShowbiz - Roger Federer got super furious after an overenthusiastic fan jumped from his seat and rushed the court for a selfie with him at French Open at Roland Garros in Paris, France. The celebrated tennis player ripped the event security for letting the uncomfortable incident happen.

The incident occurred shortly after Federer finished an interview following his first-round French Open triumph on Sunday, May 24. As he was about to leave the main stadium court, the male teen fan suddenly left his seat and ran toward the court to take a picture with the tennis legend.

Federer looked surprised and uncomfortable with the sudden appearance of the unexpected guest. He tried to usher and ask the boy to stay away before security escorted the teenager out the venue.

Following the incident, Federer got angry and blasted the event security during a post-match press conference for not immediately interfering as the incident happened. "I'm not happy about it. Obviously not one second I'm happy about it," Federer said.

He added, "It happened yesterday in the practice, too. I think it's true for all players that you have to feel safe when we play, feel safe on the courts. It shouldn't happen too often. It's happened twice in two days and also in 2009 during the final. I think people should react more quickly. First, it should never happen."

However, Federer was relieved that nothing bad happened to him during the incident. "Normally I only speak on behalf of myself, but in this situation, I think I can speak on behalf of all the players," he added. "That that's where you do your job, that's where you want to feel safe and so clearly I'm not happy about it. But nothing happened, so I'm relieved, but it wasn't a nice situation."

Later, tournament director Gilbert Ysern offered an apology for the "embarrassing" incident. "I understand [Federer] was p****d off about what happened on the court," the director said. "It's embarrassing, of course, for an organiser, it shows that we made a mistake and we have to make sure it doesn't happen again."
