AceShowbiz - Officially turning 23 years old on Tuesday, May 19, Sam Smith received the best present ever from his sisters, the authentic Harry Potter wands. "My sisters are actually the f***ing BEST. They got me authentic Harry Potter wands!!!!!!!!!! Best present EVERRRRRRR," he captioned an Instagram photo of himself sitting on a coach with his right hand waving one of the wands to the camera.
There were two other Instagram snapshots that Smith shared to mark his big day. The first one showed him hugging his father. He captioned it, "23 years and 9 months ago this handsome fellow made love to my mama. Thanks for that."
The other one, meanwhile, was a photo of him and a group of friends. "Prepare yourself for dramatic speech lol - I've only lived on this earth for 23 years and I have so much more to learn and so many more mistakes to make but there is one thing I've learnt in my not so many years. And that is love is the most important thing in life. Surround yourself with family and friends and people who genuinely love you. I am so lucky and these past few years have been so amazing but also so challenging and I would definitely be in a world full of troubles right now if it wasn't for the people in this picture and my family and friends who can't be with me today. Even greater than all, on the same day Smith received good news regarding his recent vocal cord surgery. The Massachusetts General Hospital, where he underwent the surgery, has given him a clean bill of health, confirming his surgery was successful and that he is expected to make a full recovery.
