The 'Tomorrowland' actor tries to prevent Letterman from leaving the CBS late-night talk show which he has hosted for 22 years.

AceShowbiz - George Clooney doesn't want David Letterman to resign from his position as the "Late Show" host. Visiting the talk show as one of the final guests on Thursday, May 14, the actor handcuffed himself to the veteran comedian as soon as he sat next to Letterman.

"You're not going anywhere David Letterman," he said, before throwing the key into the audience. Letterman jokingly asked about the handcuff, "Now George is this something left over from the bachelor days?"

Clooney then began paying tribute to Letterman, saying, "Here's the thing. What you've meant to us with so many of the laughs, walking us through times that we didn't know what to do, like 911 when we weren't sure when we could laugh again. You belong to us through the ages."

Letterman then took his cellphone and took a selfie with the "Tomorrowland" actor. "It's George and his grandfather," the host jokingly said while showing the picture.

Letterman's final "Late Show" episode is scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 20. Tom Hanks, Eddie Vedder and Bill Murray were recently announced as guests in his last week.
