The Aerosmith frontman's new song, which he performed in the season 14 finale of the singing show, will lead a full country album scheduled to be released under Big Machine Records.

AceShowbiz - Steven Tyler is officially a country star now. The Aerosmith rocker finally released on Wednesday, May 13 "Love Is Your Name" which will lead a full country solo album scheduled to come out under Big Machine Records.

Later in the day, the former "American Idol" judge returned to the singing competition's season finale to deliver the first live performance of his new single. He was also joined by former contestant Jax, who was eliminated the night before, for an epic rendition of Janis Joplin's classic "Piece of My Heart".

Known for fronting one of the biggest rock bands, Tyler says he's been a fan of country music. For his upcoming album, he moved to Nashville earlier this year and started working with songwriters like Brett James, Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano.

"Country, to me, has always been oversimplified, by an accent, a truck, cowboy boots, a dirt road, a back porch," he tells USA Today. "But I think it's more about freedom and pride and hard work and the girl. And knowing everybody's first name in town, you know? There were 1,200 people in my town when I grew up. That, to me, is country."

Tyler also gives an update on his new full-length, saying it isn't finished yet, and won't be finished until after he and his Aerosmith bandmates complete their summer tour. Set to open on June 13 in Glendale, Arizona, the tour will run for two months.

"I've got to find time to come back and record these songs after the Aerosmith tour," Tyler explains. "But I flit from flower to flower, country to country, looking for good times and singing about the last time. That's what I'm putting into the country songs."
