Emergency responders say Dr. Mehmet Oz helped them out by treating victims of a car crash in New Jersey over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Dr. Oz helped two victims of a one-car accident in New Jersey Turnpike over the weekend. At that time, emergency responders weren't surprised to find a doctor already on the scene, but they were shocked when knowing the doctor was Dr. Mehmet Oz. The celebrity doctor witnessed the accident, immediately stopped his vehicle and ran back to help the injured drivers.

Westampton Township Emergency Services posted on Facebook on Tuesday, May 12 a photo of Dr. Oz and an emergency officer along with caption, "Over the weekend #WTES responded to a serious MVA on the NJTP. The crew on #Squad2723 arrived on location and found a Doctor triaging (assessing) the patients. Dr. Oz was not involved in the accident but stopped and gave care to the patients until emergency crews arrived to treat and transport the patients to the hospital."

Westampton Chief Jason Carty told NJ.com on Tuesday that Dr. Oz "was very professional and helpful." Jason added, "He gave a very thorough report on both victim's conditions and injuries. He could've kept going, but being the guy he is, he stopped and rendered aid." The two victims suffered minor injuries and were sent to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
