Dannielynn, the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, made a rare public appearance at the Kentucky Derby.

AceShowbiz - Dannielynn Birkhead attended the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 2. Along with her father Larry Birkhead, she made her annual public appearance at the event. The 8-year-old girl looked pretty in a pale pink floral dress which she paired with a charming rose headband and a bedazzled silver purse. Her sweet smile also nicely completed her overall appearance.
As the girl rarely appears in public, Larry said, "She is doing great, getting super tall and just has become this funny, intelligent, beautiful girl that I am so proud of." His daughter turns to be like her model mother, Anna Nicole Smith. This daughter-father duo looked so matching in their pink outfits attending the event.
Apparently, she also becomes a stylist for her father. "It has become a big chore to pick out the outfits! Dannielynn wore a dress and shoes by Monsoon, and she insisted I wear a pink jacket," he said.
He raises his daughter in Kentucky so that she can have a normal life. "It's kind of a paparazzi-free zone," he said. "It's a little more laid back, so that's been a positive."
However, he finds out that his daughter is fond of adventure. "She is a thrill seeker like her mom and she drags me to King's Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio, nearly every chance she gets. I am so protective. She wants to ride larger roller coasters than I will allow," he shared. "She also wants us to pack up and move this summer to The Bahamas and move in to the Atlantis. She thinks every day is an adventure. I love her spirit but it is sure hard to keep up!" he added.
The Kentucky Derby is a special event for the family as Larry first met Nicole at a Derby Party in May 2004.
