The mother of Beyonce opened up to People magazine about her marriage to Lawson, saying that her grandchild Blue Ivy pushed her to marry the 68-year-old actor.

AceShowbiz - Tina Knowles revealed that the decision to marry Richard Lawson came after Beyonce Knowles' daughter Blue Ivy Carter pushed them to get married. The mother of the songtress told People magazine that the idea came in September last year.
"[In September] we went on a boat with Beyonce and Jay-Z and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, 'Oh, y'all look beautiful. When are y'all getting married?' " so Tina recalled. "Richard said, 'Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?' "
Tina and Richard tied the knot on Sunday, April 12 on a super yacht cruising around Newport Beach, California. On the boat that holds 300 capacity, Beyonce and his husband Jay-Z were seen onboard. Other relatives that included Solange Knowles and Blue were also spotted joining the lovely wedding party.
Tina said that she didn't think she would get married again after separating from Matthew Knowles in 2011, but things have changed. "There was a time when I doubted I would find love again," she told the magazine. "But I was determined to be happy and God sent somebody into my life. You can find love at any age. You just have to go for it."
At her wedding party, Tina wore a white Romona Keveza gown. She also asked all people in attendance to dress in white. "It's just elegant and white represents the purity of love," she explained why she preferred white gown for her wedding to other colors.
"It was important to me to have a wedding and walk in white, because sometimes we feel that at a certain age you should act a certain way," she continued. "You can find love at any age. You just have to go for it."
