Pixar Releases First 'Inside Out' Clip, Announces Cannes World Premiere

The animated movie featuring the voice of Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling among others will have its world premiere at the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - Disney/Pixar's "Inside Out (2015)" will make its world premiere at the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival. "We are overjoyed at being included in this year's official selection at Cannes. With 'Inside Out', we spent years imagining - and then building - never-before-seen settings and characters within the mind. It was an incredible, fun and exciting challenge and now we can't wait to share it with the world," director Pete Docter said in a statement.

Docter is scheduled to attend the special screening along with producer Jonas Rivera, co-director Ronnie Del Carmen as well as members of the voice cast. Those who lend their voices for the movie include Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith.

Along with announcement of the world premiere, the first clip for the movie was released. It sees Joy (Poehler) making sure that the other emotions like Anger (Black), Disgust (Kaling), and Sadness (Smith) doing their work well. The five emotions are based in headquarters of an 11-year-old girl, Riley. Their mission is to help Riley get through a difficult transition in her first day school since her family relocates to a scary new city.

"Inside Out" will open in U.S. theaters on June 19.
