The rapper's breakthrough single 'Trap Queen' has been a big success, recently reaching No. 6 on Billboard 200 and No. 2 on Billboard's Hot R'n'B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

AceShowbiz - Fetty Wap is undeniably one of the hottest rappers in the game now thanks in large part to his breakthrough single "Trap Queen". The track quickly went viral following its debut last year. It later helped Wap sign with Lyor Cohen's 300 Entertainment, whose artists have included the likes of Young Thug and Migos among others.

The song got even bigger in 2015. It has just reached a new peak on Billboard Hot 100, landing at No. 6. It has also hit No. 2 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs. It's additionally drawn the attention of Kanye West who called it his favorite song when introducing Wap as his surprise guest during February's Roc City Classic concert in New York.

"I took a love element," Wap said of the hit in a new interview with Yahoo! Music. "I took a trap element, a party element, and then I took the illegal element. When you put it together, it just sounds good."

Wap, however, isn't really interested in the fame that came along with the success of the single. The New Jersey native, who lost his left eye due to glaucoma that struck him when he was a child, humbly said to the site of his new life as a hip-hop star, "I'm going to be able to support my family. Everybody gon' be good."
