The second directorial project from the renowned fashion designer has also drawn attention of Aaron Johnson.

AceShowbiz - Tom Ford's upcoming second movie "Nocturnal Animals" has attracted some of today's Hollywood big stars. Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, and Joaquin Phoenix, along with Aaron Johnson, are reportedly in negotiations to play the leading roles in the film.

Ford branched out into movie with a 2009 drama "A Single Man" which earned Colin Firth an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. For his second project, the designer-turned-director teams up with George Clooney to produce it.

Adapted from Austin Wright's book "Tony and Susan", it follows a woman who receives a manuscript from her ex-husband asking for her opinion on the book and centers on the story in the manuscript which is about a man whose family vacation turns deadly. As the two narratives intertwine, the woman reflects on her first marriage and confronts some dark truths about herself.

Gyllenhaal and Phoenix are fresh off their role in last year's "Nightcrawler" and "Inherent Vice" respectively which earned them a Golden Globe nomination each, while Adams won one with "Big Eyes". As for Johnson, he will play Quicksilver in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" after leading "Godzilla".
