AceShowbiz - Another major change has reportedly been made by Marvel for the character of Scott Lang in its upcoming flick "Ant-Man". Reports have been mounting that earlier plan to transform Scott Lang from a "con-man" into a "master-thief" has been shelved as the character has been reintroduced during reshoot as still "con-man."
Back in 2014, Marvel released the first synopsis of "Ant-Man", which described its main character Scott Lang as a "con-man." Then, earlier this year there was an update on the synopsis which introduced him as a "master thief."
At that time, it was assumed by many that the change made was prompted by the success of "Guardians of the Galaxy" that influenced Marvel's opinion of how to address Scott's "roguishness." However, as the film has undergone reshoots, reports are saying that Marvel is going back to the original idea about Scott Lang.
Latino-Review's @umbertogonzalez, meanwhile, revealed via a post on Instagram, "[One] of the things I heard is that they're making Scott a criminal again with these reshoots - putting back the plot point they originally demanded be cut from Edgar Wright's draft." Official statement is expected to be made on the matter to set record straight on the much-loved character, to be played by Paul Rudd.
