Hannibal Buress Says He Received Death Threats After Bill Cosby Joke
Celebrity

The 32-year-old comedian tells Jimmy Kimmel that he got death threats after he brought up Bill's sexual assault allegations during his now-viral stand-up routine back in October.

AceShowbiz - Hannibal Buress revealed in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday night, March 18 that he received death threats after his now-viral Bill Cosby joke. "It's definitely a weird situation," he told Jimmy, "I get a lot of messages from people about it."

He explained, "You know, the weirdest thing about getting a death threat from a male bodybuilder slash stripper on Facebook is when you click on his profile and see that you have one mutual friend. Then having to hit your friend up and say, 'Hey man, can you tell your buddy to stop saying that he's gonna murder me?' "

However, Hannibal wasn't exactly scared of those who made the threats. "I didn't really think he was gonna kill me, I'd just rather not take that information into my head if I didn't have to," he added, "I don't think that's how killers operate. 'Yeah, I'm gonna kill Hannibal Buress. First, I'm going to this coffee shop and buying something so they give me the Wi-Fi password. Then I'm sitting down, I'm pulling out my laptop and I'm logging into Facebook. Then, I'm searching Hannibal Buress. Then, I'm spelling Buress correctly. Then...' "

Jimmy then asked Hannibal about his appearance on Justin Bieber Comedy Central roast. "I've never done a roast," he replied, "It's a weird state of mind to be in when you have three or four weeks just to think of foulest things about somebody." Hannibal said it was a trip knowing that others including Snoop Dogg were thinking equally mean things about him.

He added, "I tried out my roast jokes during my stand-up set and they went fine, but it's weird when you have to say something about Martha Stewart's vagina in front of her."
