A representative for 1D cites 'stress' as the reason why the fiance of Perrie Edwards decides to return to his home country.

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik decides to take a break from One Direction's tour following rumors that he cheated on Little Mix's Perrie Edwards. "Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate," a rep said. "The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

Malik was accused of two-timing his girlfriend after he was spotted holding hands with a blonde girl outside Seduction club in Phuket, Thailand. He also posed for a picture with his hand around her waist inside the nightclub while he and his bandmates were in the country for the Asian leg of their On the Road Again roadshow.

Malik who is engaged to Edwards denies the cheating rumors. "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards," he tweeted, before ranting, "And there's a lot of jealous f**ks in this world." He added, "I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

Ahead of 1D's concert in Manila this weekend which now no longer features Malik, the Bureau of Immigration in the Phillippines previously asked the band to post a nearly $5,000 bond for Malik and bandmate Louis Tomlinson each after they were purportedly caught on camera smoking marijuana last year.

"The condition is intended to protect the public interest should the band members commit any violation during their stay in the Philippines," a rep for the bureau said. "We want to see their pure, raw untainted talent," without drugs.

Malik was reported struggling with substance issue after he fell ill and missed "Today" show last year. "I'm really angry and upset by what was said," he said when asked by Matt Lauer about the rumor. "I was really ill at the weekend, that's why I couldn't fly to America."

After finishing their Asian leg, One Direction will play in Johannesburg and Cape Town. It's unclear if Zayn Malik will reunite with the band during their South African concerts. A source tells The Sun he plans to quit the band for good.
