During an interview to promote her upcoming animated movie 'Home', the Bajan singer shares some new details about the yet-to-be-titled LP and reveals what to expect from it.

AceShowbiz - More details about Rihanna's highly-anticipated eighth studio album have been revealed. The singer finally opened up about the LP, which she's been referring to as "R8", and revealed what to expect from it during an interview with MTV to promote her forthcoming animated movie "Home (2015)".

"I've made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs," she said. "From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to - not that they weren't real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever."

She went on to explain that she wanted the album to have songs that are "timeless," unlike the tracks off her previous seven full-lengths.

"I wanted songs that I could perform in 15 years; I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years," she continued. "Not any songs that were burnt out. I find that when I get on stage now, I don't want to perform a lot of my songs. They don't feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless."

"R8" still has no official title and release date. It's been preceded by "FourFiveSeconds" featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney that has peaked at No. 4 on Billboard Hot 100.

In other Rihanna news, the Bajan beauty has been announced as one of the acts set to perform at this year's NCAA March Madness Music Festival. She's scheduled to headline the Coke Zero Countdown Concert on Saturday, April 4 alongside Bleachers.
