AceShowbiz - Rihanna has teased a new song. The Bajan beauty posted on Instagram on Thursday, March 5 two snippets of a track called "Higher" presumably from her upcoming eighth studio album which is tentatively titled "R8".
"This whiskey got me feelin' pretty, so pardon if I'm impolite/ I just really need your ass with me," RiRi sings over a vintage-sounding piano in the first preview. In the second one, she belts out the chorus, "Higher, higher than I've ever been, babe/ Just come over, let's pour a drink, babe/ I hope I ain't callin' you too late."
Rihanna explained in the caption that "Higher" was produced by Kuk Harrell and Marcos Tovar whom she's been working with since "Good Girl Gone Bad".
"R8", which still has no official release date, is led by "FourFiveSeconds" featuring the album's executive producer Kanye West and his now-frequent collaborator Paul McCartney. The track has so far peaked at No. 4 on Billboard Hot 100.
