CBS Extends Judge Judy's Deal Through 2020

The new deal adds three seasons to the current contract which was originally set to expire in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Judge Judy Sheindlin will keep her court session running until at least 2020. CBS has extended "Judge Judy" deal for another three seasons, adding to the current contract which was originally set to expire after the 2016-17 season.

Jim Harbaugh, the head football coach at the University of Michigan, has congratulated Judge Judy on her contract extension. He tweeted, "Big Congrats to Judge Judy on signing her contract extension thru 2020 from a Devout Fan!" Harbaugh recently attended the taping of the reality court show and sat front row.

"Judge Judy" has been named the highest-rated program in syndication several times since its debut in 1996. With a reported $47-million annual salary in 2013, Judge Judy is one of the highest-paid TV stars.

"Judge Judy" had been nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards for 14 consecutive years before finally winning a prize for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program in 2013.
