The 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor is preparing himself to play Joker in the DC supervillain movie, saying in a new interview, 'I have to eat every couple of hours.'

AceShowbiz - Jared Leto opens up about preparing to play Joker in "Suicide Squad" in a new interview. The 30 Seconds to Mars member who appears on the cover of Billboard's latest edition mentions in an interview to the magazine that he has been trying to gain weight for the role in the DC supervillain movie. "Do you mind if I eat a little?" he asks. "I'm trying to gain a lot of weight. It means I have to eat every couple of hours - and I'm terrible at eating a lot."
In the interview, the rocker additionally shares what drew him to the role. "The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character - that's what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right?" he says. "[He's] this beautiful disaster of a character - what a big challenge."

In related news, "Friday Night Lights" star Jay Hernandez was reported to have joined the cast line-up and now his role allegedly is revealed. According to Latino Review's El Mayimbe, Hernandez will play a "small" role of El Diablo a.k.a. Chato Santana. "He is a prisoner being held in the super powered criminal part of the prison," he wrote, before adding that other villains such as Killer Frost, Block Buster, King Shark and Live Wire were rumored to be featured in the movie as well.
Directed by David Ayer, "Suicide Squad" will start production in April for August 5, 2016 release.
