The female surfer who became the subject of 2011's movie 'Soul Surfer' is expecting her first child with husband Adam Dirks.

AceShowbiz - Bethany Hamilton is having a new addition to her growing family with husband Adam Dirks. The pro surfer who lost her arm in a 2003 shark attack announces in a video message that she's pregnant. It's a baby boy and will be their first child together.
"We have a little surprise for you...baby on board!" she said, before her husband adding, "She's pregnant!" They continued, "We found out it's a boy, so we're looking for boy names." Without giving the details, they said, "We've got a few in mind."
"I'm about 22 weeks, which is about halfway there," she opened up. "It's been a pretty crazy last four months finding out that we're gonna be parents. Life's kinda gonna be changing and [we're] kinda just starting to prep for bringing a new little being into the world. It's all really exciting."
"I've been surfing throughout my whole pregnancy," she explained. "I plan to surf as long as I can. Once the belly's pretty big maybe [I'll] just like mellow it out and spend more time swimming and just enjoying the ocean and doing other activities."
Bethany Hamilton, 25, became the subject of a movie called "Soul Surfer" in 2011. It starred AnnaSophia Robb and Carrie Underwood among others.
