AceShowbiz - The short list of contenders for the female lead of comic book film "Deadpool" is revealed. "Homeland" actress Morena Baccarin and "Orange Is the New Black" beauty Taylor Schilling are among those eyed to star opposite Ryan Reynolds.
Deadline learns that Crystal Reed ("Teen Wolf) and Rebecca Rittenhouse ("The Red Band Society") are also potential candidates to play a love interest to the main character Wade Wilson. Joining the mix as well are Sarah Greene ("Vikings") and Jessica De Gouw ("Arrow").
Deadpool is a talkative mercenary with the ability to heal rapidly. He was previously played by Reynolds in 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". After a long delay, the expert swordsman is set to get a solo movie expected to be ready for February 12, 2016 release.
