AceShowbiz - The first image from "Elvis & Nixon" has landed online. Arriving via The Hollywood Reporter, the photo shows Kevin Spacey as President Richard Nixon having a conversation with Michael Shannon's Elvis Presley in the Oval Room. The "House of Cards" actor can be seen wearing a suit while sitting opposite the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
The actors are recreating the meeting between the president and the singer back on December 21, 1970. At that time, the "My Way" hitmaker asked Nixon to appoint him special FBI operative.
Directed by Liza Johnson with a script by Cary Elwes, Joey Sagal and Hanala Sagal, the movie is currently in production in New Orleans. In addition to Spacey and Shannon, it features appearances from Colin Hanks, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Knoxville and Evan Peters. The movie has no release date.
