One man dressed in the shark costume is revealed to be Scott Myrick, one of the dancers who left Swift's 'Red' tour to join Perry's 'Prismatic' tour.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry and Missy Elliott weren't the only ones everyone talked about following the Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, February 1. One of two dancers dressed in shark costumes who joined Perry during her headlining halftime show has also drawn fans' attention after his identity was revealed.

The dancer is Perry's longtime backup dancer Scott Myrick. Following the successful performance, he took to Twitter to express his excitement and confirm that he's the man behind the mask, writing, "And that everyone, is what it feels like to have your heart explode. I've never been more proud to be a part of something in my life."

Prior to the Super Bowl, Myrick has danced for Perry at numerous of her concerts. He's also featured with the pop diva on the cover of Entertainment Weekly in 2013 and, as pointed out by Us Weekly, is the reason why Perry and Taylor Swift are currently feuding.

According to the site, Myrick served as a backing dancer for Perry during her "California Dreams World Tour" back in 2011 and later secured a spot on Swift's "Red Tour" after Perry's shows wrapped up. While still working with Swift, Perry's team reached out to him to find out if he wanted to join her "Prismatic Tour". Along with two other dancers, Myrick left Swift to reunite with Perry.

The incident was first mentioned by Swift while she discussed the inspiration behind a "1989" song called "Bad Blood" in her interview with Rolling Stone last year. "She did something so horrible," she said without naming anyone. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
