AceShowbiz - Following his departure from %cBlink-182%, %cTom DeLonge% is apparently planning to release new songs he initially created for the group's new album. The co-vocalist gave fans the first listen to a couple of tracks in two previews he recently shared on his personal Instagram account.
DeLonge captioned both low-quality snippets "#SongsWithoutAHome" and "#March1st." Fans are speculating that the latter may be the date the 39-year-old musician will debut the two songs in full.
The rift within Blink-182 was revealed last week, when %cMark Hoppus% and %cTravis Barker% announced that they'd hired another vocalist to fill in for DeLonge at an upcoming live concert. "We were all set to play this festival and record a new album and Tom kept putting it off without reason," they said at that time and added DeLonge's manager had told them he "didn't want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely."
DeLonge then denied he left the group before his friends expressed their frustration over his attitude in a tell-all interview with Rolling Stone, saying he's been very difficult to work with. They also called him "disrespectful" and "ungrateful" at one point.
He later responded to the interview in a post on his Facebook page. In the lengthy letter, he denied he purposefully delayed the recording of Blink-182's new album and explained why he found it "hard as hell" to commit to working with the group.
