The 'Memento' actress will play Harper, 'a person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica.'

AceShowbiz - "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones" is slowly rounding up its cast line-up. Carrie-Anne Moss has joined the upcoming Netflix series, playing "the no-nonsense Harper, a person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica - if the titular character doesn't completely alienate her first, that is," TheWrap reports.

Krysten Ritter landed the title role, Jessica Jones, who is described as a former superhero known as Jewel who hangs her costume after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. She then works as a private investigator.

Mike Colter recently was cast as the male lead, Luke Cage. Jessica will encounter the enigmatic Luke, a man whose past has secrets that will dramatically alter Jessica in ways she could never have imagined.

The 13-episode drama is spearheaded by Melissa Rosenberg. It is part of a massive deal between Netflix and Marvel which also includes "Daredevil" and "Iron Fist" series and culminates in "The Defenders" miniseries featuring all four heroes. Luke Cage will get his own series following his appearance on "Jessica Jones".

Moss is best known for her role as Trinity in the "Matrix" trilogy by the Wachowskis. She also stars in "Memento" directed by Christopher Nolan, "Red Planet", "Chocolat", "Disturbia" and "Unthinkable". Her recent gigs include a role in 2014's movie "Pompeii" and guest-starring appearances on NBC's "Crossing Lines".
