'How to Train Your Dragon 2' Tops Annie Awards With Six Wins

'Edge of Tomorrow' and 'Dawn of the Planets of the Apes' win in the live action categories, while 'The Simpsons' is triumphant in the TV field.

AceShowbiz - "How to Train Your Dragon 2" dominates the 42nd annual Annie Awards held Saturday, January 31 at UCLA's Royce Hall. The DreamWorks Animation flick won a total of six gongs including the best animated feature at the event honoring the best in film and TV/broadcast animation for the past twelve months.

%cBen Kingsley% won voice acting price for voicing the villain in "The Boxtrolls", while Phil Lord & Christopher Miller won the best writing for "The Lego Movie". In a live action production, "Edge of Tomorrow" won the best animated effects and "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" took home the title for the best character animation.

In TV categories, "Disney Mickey Mouse" collected at least four prizes including voice acting for %cBill Farmer% as the voice of Goofy and Grandma. "The Simpsons" took home an award for the best animated TV production for general audience.
