The singer also patents other lines like 'Nice to Meet You. Where You Been?' from 'Blank Space' and prohibits others from using them on various items including T-shirts and printed publications.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift officially owns the line "This Sick Beat" from her smashing hit single "Shake It Off". The country-turned-pop superstar has patented the phrase and other memorable lyrics from the songs off her "1989" album, including "Cause We Never Go Out of Style", "Party Like It's 1989", "Nice to Meet You. Where You Been?" and "Could Show You Incredible Things".

According to Vox and the American legal database Justia, Swift now prohibits others from using these lines without her consent on everything from T-shirts, mugs, removable tattoos, stickers and stationary to "paper products, printed products and printed publications."

The news came just a day after Swift's social media accounts were hacked. The hackers sent several posts convincing the singer's 51 million Twitter followers to follow other Twitter users.

Swift then responded to the hack on Tumblr. "Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment," she wrote.

She also made a "Shake It Off"-referenced joke, saying, "Hackers gonna hack hack hack hack hack," before noting, "PS any hackers saying they have 'nudes'? Psssh you'd love that wouldn't you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING."

In other news, Swift expressed her excitement after Madonna praised her during an interview on Network Nine's "Today" show. "It's good to have princesses [of pop]. It means there's lots of pretty dresses around. I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. Can't get them out of my head," Madge said.

Swift then took to Tumblr and wrote, "Thanks now I'm dead," along with the hashtags, "#HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING."
