The Golden Globe hosts also joke about Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations, George Clooney who receives Cecil B. DeMille Award and Emma Stone's big eyes.

AceShowbiz - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler gave their best in their third and final time hosting the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 11. The duo wouldn't shy away from recent headline-grabbing scandals including the Sony hacking case and Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations.

Fey opened their monologue by addressing the audience as a "bunch of despicable, spoiled, minimally-talented brats," a reference to Scott Rudin's comment about Angelina Jolie in a leaked email. She added, "Tonight we celebrate all the great television shows we know and love as well as all the movies that North Korea was OK with," referring to the threat launched by hackers who were against the theatrical release of "The Interview".

Poehler continued, "The biggest story in Hollywood this year was when North Korea threatened an attack if Sony released 'The Interview', forcing us all to pretend we wanted to see it." Fey further took a jab at the comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, "North Korea referred to 'The Interview' as 'absolutely intolerable' and a 'wanton act of terror.' Even more amazing: not the worst review the movie got."

When talking about drama comedy "Big Eyes" about painter Walter Keane and his wife, Poehler said, "One of those famous 'Big Eyes' paintings is on display tonight. Let's check it out," and the camera cut to Emma Stone who sat in the audience. "So lifelike!" Poehler commented and her co-host added, "It's cute but it's creepy."

They also gave a shout out to Joaquin Phoenix who previously slammed awards show. "Joaquin Phoenix is nominated for 'Inherent Vice' but obviously he's isn't here tonight because he has said publicly that award shows are quote 'Total and utter bull****,' " Fey said before noticing the actor among the guests that night, "Oh, hey Joaquin! There he is."

Of Meryl Streep who was nominated for Best Actress in Drama, Musical or Comedy Film, Poehler said, " 'Into the Woods' stars Meryl Streep. Meryl plays a witch who sends the townspeople on a magical quest to collect the items she needs to win another Golden Globe."

The "Parks and Recreation" actress even used the musical fantasy movie to poke fun at Cosby scandal, saying, "In 'Into the Woods', Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from her tower for her prince and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby."

George Clooney, who came with his wife Amal, was another victim of their joke. "George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year," Fey said, "Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an advisor to Kofi Annan regarding Syria and was selected for a three-person UN commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip. So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

The former "Saturday Night Live" cast members spent almost ten minutes of their monologue roasting movie actors and Golden Globe-nominated films. Just when Poehler was about to talk television, Fey said they were running out of time. "Our apologies, television... Come back tomorrow."
