According to a promo aired on ESPN, the new trailer for the highly-anticipated movie featuring Earth's mightiest heroes will be unveiled on January 12.

AceShowbiz - Fans are bubbling with excitement now that a new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer is coming. During the halftime of the Rose Bowl, a promo aired on ESPN says that the new trailer for the highly-anticipated movie is coming out during the College Football National Championship game on ESPN, starting at 8:30 P.M. EST. on January 12.

In an interview with IGN in December, director Joss Whedon shared that the upcoming flick would be bigger than its predecessor. "I remember saying it was harder. But it is bigger. The cast is bigger. The scope is bigger. You know, we have more to work with," he said.

"You know, with this, we're on a broader canvas. We're in more countries. We have a bigger world to work with, and a bigger world for them just to be in. Sort of, once they exist as a team, we have to deal with what everybody thinks about that, and what that means to the world. It's not as simple as it was," he explained.

Starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the follow-up to "The Avengers" is set to hit U.S. theaters on May 1. In addition to the familiar faces, the movie adds new cast members such as Aaron Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany (The Vision).
