Fiske Hanley, a World War II veteran who was kept at the same detention camp as Louis Zamperini, will attend the screening of 'Unbroken' in Plano, Texas.

AceShowbiz - Two World War II veterans are going to attend the screening of "Unbroken" in Plano, Texas, the Dallas Morning News reports. One of the veterans, Fiske Hanley of Fort Worth, served as a pilot of a Boeing B-29 plane which was shot down in the pacific in early 1945. He then was kept as prisoner of war by the Japanese Navy in a camp alongside Louis Zamperini, an Olympian who served as the inspiration behind the Angelina Jolie-directed movie. Henley also served as a resource for the movie's producers.

Another WWII veteran who will be with Hanley at the screening which is taking place at Studio Movie Grill, 4721 W. Park Blvd. in Plano on Friday, December 26 at 11:45 A.M. is Don Graves of Keller. He is one of the people who survived the Battle of Iwo Jima and witnessed the raising of the flag. The two veterans' appearance is a part of an event by Daughters of World War II which helps veterans go back to the battlefields.

"Unbroken", which stars Jack O'Connell as Zamperini and Miyavi as a brutal guard called "The Bird", opened in theaters this week. Also starring Domhnall Gleeson, Finn Wittrock, Garrett Hedlund and Jai Courtney among others, the WWII drama focuses on Zamperini's life story and how he survived the camp.

A newly-released TV spot gives glimpses at Zamperini training for the Olympics and hard labor at the POW camp. "You are nothing," says The Bird in the video.
