AceShowbiz - Neil Patrick Harris promotes the upcoming 87th Academy Awards on Christmas Day. Wearing a tuxedo with a fitting red scarf to represent the joyful holiday, the "How I Met Your Mother" star shares an idea for a perfect Christmas gift.
"This holiday season, give your family a gift they'll never forget. Instead of traditional presents, give them the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars," he says while standing near a giant Oscar statue surrounded by Christmas presents.
Harris is set to host the Oscars on February 22, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The nominees will be announced on January 15. Academy Honorary Awards are given to Jean-Claude Carriere, Hayao Miyazaki, and Maureen O'Hara, while a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award is handed to Harry Belafonte.
