Bey is nominated in categories including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Song for 'Pretty Hurts' while Pharrell is up for Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album for his 'G I R L'.

AceShowbiz - The nominees for the 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards have just been unveiled. In music field, Beyonce Knowles leads the pack with four nods including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for "Beyonce (The Platinum Edition)", the re-package of her 2013 self-titled LP.

Her empowering hit "Pretty Hurts" is also nominated for Outstanding Song while its music video is pitted against John Legend's "You&I (Nobody in the World)", KEM's "It's you" and Michael Jackson's "Love Never Felt So Good" in the Outstanding Music Video category.

Pharrell Williams is another big nominee, also bagging four nominations including Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album for his "G I R L". The "Happy" hitmaker is nominated twice in Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration category where his Justin Timberlake-assited "Brand New" will compete against his "Gust of Wind" featuring Daft Punk, Smokey Robinson's "Being With You" (ft. Mary J. Blige) and Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" (also with Blige).

Other names who score multiple nominations include Kendrick Lamar (Outstanding Male Artist, Outstanding Music Video and Outstanding Song for his latest single "i"), Alicia Keys (Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Song for "We Are Here") and Jennifer Hudson (Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for "JHUD").

The NAACP Image Awards "honors the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film, and honors those who promote social justice through creative endeavors." Winners of all categories, including movie and TV, are voted upon by NAACP members and will be announced at a ceremony set to air live on TV One on Friday, February 6, 2015.
