As support for the petition has skyrocketed, the Duggars take to Facebook to show that they will not waver from their faith and beliefs.

AceShowbiz - Petition to cancel "19 Kids and Counting" due to the Duggars' anti-gay stance has quickly gained supporters after it made headlines. "In less than 24 hours we went from 7,000 signers to 50,000 and counting!" creator Jim Wissick posted as an update on the online petition on Change.org on Thursday morning, November 20.

The petition has now received more than 100,000 signatures. TLC which airs the show has not commented on the issue, but the Duggars have seemingly responded to the petition by hinting that they will hold on to their faith and beliefs.

On Tuesday, they posted a quote from Martin Luther, " 'God created the world out of nothing, and as long as we are nothing, He can make something out of us.' Martin Luther These words are such a good reminder to stay humble and never think too highly of oneself. We want to maintain a heart posture that allows God to use us any way He would like."

The petition was actually launched in August by Jim Wissick, but started gaining momentum after it's reported that the Duggars banned pictures of same-sex couples kissing from their official Facebook page. Wissick wrote on the petition, "Michelle Duggar of TLC's '19 Kids and Counting' is warning Fayetteville residents that transgender people are child predators and that the law will somehow protect that predatory behavior."

He added, "Duggar words reek of ignroance and fear mongering. Just because someone is transgendered doesn't mean they are a child predator or a rapist. The claim that this ordinance would provide predators with access to women's restrooms in order to assault or leer at girls or women is nothing more than fear-mongering and spreading ignornace and hatred."

Wissick additionally cited reports that the Duggars had donated $10k to repeal equal housing rights for LGBTQ members and that Josh Duggar is a member of Family Research Center, which Wissick described as "a hate-filled, anti-gay organization."
