AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift continues showing her love for New York City. After creating "Welcome to New York", the singer says that she will donate all the money she makes from the song inspired by her move to the Big Apple to the city's public schools.

Swift announced the plan when she visited "The View" on Wednesday, October 29 to promote her new album "1989". "I love it here," said the 24-year-old superstar who was recently named a "Global Welcome Ambassador" for New York City tourism.

"I don't think I told anybody this before, but the fans were wonderful enough to make ['Welcome to New York'] No. 1 on iTunes," she continued. "It's selling really well - which is good, because I'm donating all of my proceeds to New York City public schools."

The song appears on "1989", which was released earlier this week and is currently on track to land at Billboard 200's No. 1 next week. The album, marking Swift's first pop collection, has been projected to open with more than 1 million copies.
