AceShowbiz - Ronnie Milsap, Mac Wiseman and Hank Cochran were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday night, October 26. During a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday night, October 26, the inductees were honored with tribute performances by Martina McBride, Vince Gill and Hunter Hayes among others.

Milsap, a six-time Grammy winner with 40 No. 1 country hits, was honored by McBride and Hayes who sang "(I'd Be) A Legend in My Time" and "(There's) Gettin' Over Me", respectively. In an interview before the ceremony, the 71-year-old star said that people once told him he wouldn't be a big musician.

"But they were wrong. Ray Charles told me that I would make it. He said, 'If your heart is in love with music that much, you need to become a professional musician,' " he continued.

Charlie Daniels and Gill were among those paying musical tribute to Wiseman. "He has been a musical idol of mine ever since I learned my first three chords on the guitar," Daniels said before performing Wiseman's "Jimmy Brown the Newsboy". Gill, meanwhile, performed Wiseman's signature hit, "Tis Sweet to Be Remembered".

Cochran, who passed away in 2010, was honored by Alison Krauss whom according to the late star's widow Suzie was his favorite singer although they never met. Krauss played two songs penned by Cochran including "Make the World Go Away" and "Don't Touch Me".
