The 'Earth Is the Loneliest Planet' singer opens up about his cancer treatment in an interview with a Spanish newspaper, saying, 'If I die, I die.'

AceShowbiz - Morrissey reveals that he has been battling cancer in a new interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo. In the interview published on Monday, October 6, the former member of The Smiths opened up about the procedure he underwent.

"They have scraped cancerous tissues on four occasions already, but whatever," he said. "If I die, I die. If not, then no. Right now I feel good." He added, "I'm conscious that in recent pictures I don't look too good, but that's what illness does to you. I'm not going to worry too much about that. I'll rest when I'm dead."

Morrissey, who released "World Peace Is None of Your Business" earlier this year, had a concert in Lisbon on Monday night. His other scheduled appearances this week include shows in Madrid and Barcelona. He is also set to perform in London in November before wrapping things up in Greece in December.

Last year, the 55-year-old singer was forced to cancel a string of U.S. shows because of health problem. In June, he canceled the rest of the U.S. tour date because of a respiratory infection.
