The actor, who joined Mark Ruffalo, Evangeline Lilly, Sting, Edward Norton and thousands of activists at People's Climate March in New York over the weekend, joined the photo-sharing site on Tuesday, September 23.

In his first post, DiCaprio can be seen posing with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as he attended the U.N. Climate Summit. "Today, I have the privilege to speak at the United Nations #Climate2014 Summit where world leaders are expected to announce the bold steps they will take to tackle climate change. Thank you Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon," he wrote.

His next posts documented what happened in the world leaders meeting in New York. The "Titanic" star also shared a snap of President Obama delivering his speech. "Watching President Obama deliver a strong statement and commitment to #Climate2014," he captioned it. His latest post, meanwhile, shows him posing with the Bruce Banner/The Hulk depicter in "The Avengers" during the Sunday march.

In his speech at the Climate Summit, DiCaprio urged world leaders to take immediate actions in regards to environmental issues. "Honored delegates, leaders of the world, I pretend for a living but you do not," he stated. "The people made their voices heard on Sunday around the world and the momentum will not stop, but now it's your turn. The time to answer humankind's greatest challenge is now."
