The former 'Transformers' star announces in a Twitter post that his upcoming running-themed event will take place at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

AceShowbiz - Shia LaBeouf is going to hold a running-themed performance art in a few days. The "Transformers" alum, who has been sharing his running distance via Nike+ app on Twitter, took to the social media on Monday, September 22 to share the news, saying that the event called "#Metamarathon" would take place at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

At first, he shared a photo of him wearing his running gear which includes a sleeveless top and a pair of purple skin-tight pants. "Run: to move swiftly on foot, to PROCESS or execute a PROGRAM or instruction, an unbroken series of PERFORMANCES," read the tweet.

"#METAMARATHON at the @Stedelijk Amsterdam 09.25.14," he added in another post. The museum retweeted the info, adding a comment which reads, "It's happening!"

Stedelijk also confirmed the news, saying that the project is a collaboration between LaBeouf and Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner. "Shia LaBeouf will embark upon a metamarathon around the perimeter of the Stedelijk Museum. Visitors are invited to participate. Running shoes optional," read the announcement on their site.

Earlier this year, the "Nymphomaniac" actor held an art installation called "#IAMSORRY" in a gallery in Los Angeles. Back then, he wore a paper bag with words "I'm not famous anymore" written on it and kept silent when being confronted by visitors.
