The 36-year-old reggaeton singer-songwriter has been arrested in Puerto Rico on suspicion of domestic violence.

AceShowbiz - Don Omar has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Authorities said the Puerto Rican star was detained at his home in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico on Wednesday, September 17 after he allegedly threatened his 26-year-old girlfriend.
Lieutenant Aimee Alvarado claimed the investigation was ongoing and police were following up on previous domestic violence reports. Aimee claimed Don's girlfriend was cooperating during the investigation.
One of Don's lawyers, Edwin Prado, told the reporters that the "Fast and Furious" star was surprised by the arrest. The lawyer said, "Any type of criminal allegation is detrimental to a public figure."
Edwin also claimed that the arrest was done "without reasonable grounds." He said Don hadn't seen his girlfriend for five days. "The reality is that not even he knows why he's here," Edwin told the local press, "The Police told him he was arrested because of Ley 54."
Don's representative has refused to make any comment on the issue.
