The Anchorage Police Department has confirmed that the Palins were in attendance at a party in Alaska where a 'verbal and physical altercation' took place.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Palin's family was involved in a drunken brawl in Alaska last week. After story of the alleged altercation hit the web, the Anchorage Police Department released a statement on Thursday, September 11 confirming that the Palins were present during the physical argument which took place at a party.

In the statement, law enforcement office said that a "verbal and physical altercation taking place between multiple subjects" and it apparently was fueled by alcohol. "At the time of the incident, none of the involved parties wanted to press charges and no arrests were made. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party," the statement read. The case, however, is still being reviewed.

Story of the brawl at first made rounds in local blogs. Blogger Jesse Griffin said that Track Palin was unhappy with someone who allegedly dated one of the Palins. "That led to some pushing and shoving, which escalated somehow to the family being asked to leave the premises," he said.

According to a report, Track Palin and Bristol Palin were seen throwing punches while the former governor screaming. Citing some unnamed sources, political blogger Amanda Coyne said on Wednesday, "Word is that Bristol has a particularly strong right hook, which she employed repeatedly, and it's something to hear when Sarah screams, 'Don't you know who I am!' And it was particularly wonderful when someone in the crowd screamed back, 'This isn't some damned Hillbilly reality show!' "
