AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" announces first hosts and musical guests for the upcoming season 40. The new cycle will kick off September 27 with "Guardians of the Galaxy" hunk Chris Pratt as the emcee and continue October 4 with comedienne Sarah Silverman as the host.
It will become the first hosting gig on the sketch comedy show for both. The "Parks and Recreation" star will be accompanied by first-time musical guest Ariana Grande on the season premiere, while the "A Million Ways to Die in the West" actress will have Maroon 5 as the performer. The band will make their fifth appearance as musical guest.
The 40th anniversary of the NBC variety show will be celebrated with a three-hour special scheduled for February 15, 2015. No guests and hosts have been announced for the special occasion.
