TV

Dunham's Hannah opens up about what led her to 'this point' and that she has realized that 'I hold the keys to the prison that is my mind.'

AceShowbiz - It's still a month away before "Girls" returns, but fans can get a look at more hilarious scenes from the upcoming third season in a new promo. The video highlights Hannah's (Lena Dunham) theraphy session as she opens about her issues.

"Everything that's been so terrible and painful in the last few months was leading me to this point," she says, "and it's amazing to realise that I hold the keys to the prison that is my mind." The other girls and the boys hurl insults at one another and Hannah asks later at the end of the snippet, "What is wrong with people?"

In season 3 that will premiere Sunday, January 12 at 10/9c on HBO, Hannah struggles to balance love and work. Marnies (Allison Williams) is still upset about her breakup with Charlie (Christopher Abbott), Ray (Alex Karpovsky) still can't get over Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), while Shoshanna herself alternates between nights of sexual freedom and academia.

Williams recently gushed over the new chapter, "I think it's pretty lighthearted, but also it's just the third year in a row you get to see these girls, so I think people have gotten to know us pretty well by now and so you get to see different dimensions of all of us."
