During an appearance on 'Today' show, Vonn says that her golfer boyfriend's patience helped her get through recovery after she suffered from injuries to her right leg.

AceShowbiz - Lindsey Vonn gushed over her boyfriend of seven months, Tiger Woods, as she appeared on Monday, October 28 episode of "Today" show. In an interview with Matt Lauer, Vonn said that the golfer contributed to her recovery following a torn ACL and MCL in her right knee earlier this year.

"I'm not a very patient person," the skier said. "He's very patient and he's very mentally tough. He's a grinder. He works extremely hard, and he's obviously also had an ACL injury as well and had the same surgery, so he knew what I was going through. He said just be patient, keep working hard, and everything is going to turn around. It really helped me get through it."

Vonn, who wants to compete at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, also opened up about her recovery progress. "I work hard. That's what I do...I fall, I get back up. It's who I am. Obviously this is the biggest setback I've ever had. I'm skiing very well. I've only been on snow for a few days but I'm already almost back where I was. Things are looking up," she said.

"I've been waiting to get back on snow now for many months now. Going to Chile was really exciting, [and] definitely got my enthusiasm back up...my knee feels great. I can't tell which one is injured," she continued, adding that she felt "good" to be back practicing.
