Gloria Estefan to Play Santana's Mother on 'Glee'

The 'Go Away' hitmaker will reportedly appear in a January episode, in which Ricky Martin is also set to guest star as a Spanish teacher.

AceShowbiz - Another big name in music industry may support popular show "Glee". After Ricky Martin was reported to guest star as "the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio", Gloria Estefan is now said to be in negotiations to play Santana's mother.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Estefan will appear in the same January episode as Martin. The outing will reportedly feature some music from the Queen of Latin Pop's catalog as well as some other bilingual songs.

Estefan's character would be another member of Santana's family who is introduced to gleeks. In this week's episode, fans have seen Santana's grandmother who does not approve her granddaughter's sexual orientation. According to the McKinley High's cheerleader, her parents are more supportive about her life choices.
