AceShowbiz - Nicole Scherzinger might have found solace in another man. Shortly after news of her split from boyfriend of four years, Lewis Hamilton, came out, Daily Mirror reported that the judge of "The X Factor (US)" is mending her broken heart with the support of the show's host Steve Jones.
"Nicole is crushed and has shed so many tears. Steve's been a shoulder to cry on and a real gent," a source told the British tabloid. "They have become close and have met up outside the studio. He listens to her and makes her laugh." Another insider added, "There is unmistakable chemistry there."
Any possible romantic entanglement between the two, however, was quickly shot down. "Steve flirts with her whenever he can but she laughs it off," said the inside source before noting that the former lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls is not ready for a new romance. The source also said that her friendship with Steve is "all very innocent".
Nicole and Lewis themselves first met at the European Music Awards in Munich, Germany in November 2007. In July 2011, the couple were rumored to have got engaged with a confirmation from Nicole's father Alfonso Valiente. Her representative, however, was quick to come out with a denial.
The couple's recent separation was blamed on their long distance relationship and busy schedules. "They'd been long distance for a long time and it's just been hard," an inside source told PEOPLE. "They both tried to make it work, but their careers kept them apart. So for now it's over. They think this is what's best. They're definitely going to stay friends."
