Beside comparing the upcoming film to the first installment of the sci-fi series, director David Twohy also states he aims to attain an R-rating.

AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel has provided his fans with some updates to "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking" by posting a video on his Facebook page. In the video, he and director David Twohy answer people's questions about the upcoming project.

Responding to a question about which film the third will share more similarity with, Twohy says, "The movie itself is gonna be a lot like Pitch Black because of the money involved." He adds, "We're gonna be lean and we're going to go quick and it's going to be a cool movie, I can tell you that."

Also in the video, the filmmaker who directed the first two films in the sci-fi franchise declares his commitment to attain an R-rating. "We want to maintain our R rating at any cost, and it's cost us a lot," Twohy states, with Diesel supporting him, "We're committed to going R."

"The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking" starts as Riddick has been ostracized from society on a planet where he must fight its vicious inhabitants to survive. He plots his revenge on those who have wronged him and strives to save his native planet. No release date is set for the movie yet.
