Country music singer Swift is named the "Golden Girl" due to the many achievements she has got throughout the year of 2009.

AceShowbiz - Having a triumphant year with a number of accolades, Taylor Swift is included in People magazine's annual list of 25 Most Intriguing People for 2009. Named the "Golden Girl", the 20-year-old country music performer is featured on the cover of the weekly publication's 25 Most Intriguing People issue, which will hit the newsstands this coming Friday, December 18.

When asked in an interview to mention one word to describe her life these days, Swift says, "Happy," adding, "It feels like this ongoing dream." Though so, she is quick to add her intention to stay grounded, quipping "You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes. I would like to think everybody out there isn't just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I'm not a party girl. I'm not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now."

Some other stars who also make the list include Rihanna and Robert Pattinson. While the Barbadian-born songstress is labeled "The Resilient Star" because she can get back on her feet after being assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown, the "Twilight" leading actor is named The Heartthrob.

Besides Swift, Rihanna, and Pattinson, there are also the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Susan Boyle, and Britney Spears just to name some. In addition to celebs, People's 25 Most Intriguing People for 2009 list also includes individuals from different professions, ranging from U.S. President Barack Obama to kidnap survivor Jaycee Dugard.
