Beside providing music lovers with a clip of a test run for either Taylor Swift or Lady GaGa, MTV announces Ashley Greene as MTV VMAs fashion correspondent.

AceShowbiz - What to expect from this year's MTV Video Music Awards has been made available for sneak peek through its rehearsal footage. Shot in front of Radio City Music Hall, the footage captures impromptu performances by several back-up dancers, two of whom practice their moves on the hood of a fake New York cab.

MTV reports that one of the female dancers who is seen standing on the front is mistaken by people in the know as one of the A-list singers who will sing at the annual event. The network also claims the rehearsal actually is a test run for either Taylor Swift or Lady GaGa.

In addition to the rehearsal footage, a brief look inside Radio City Music Hall, where the winners of the awards will be announced, has also been brought forward. It shows how the stage of this annual event will look like.

Furthermore, "Twilight" actress Ashley Greene has been billed as a fashion correspondent at MTV VMAs pre-show. She will be joined by two MTV News correspondents Sway and Tim Kash when interviewing celebrities on the red carpet. The interview session will not only be held at the event but also conducted hours before the show. MTV promises to hold a live chat with the celebs when they get dressed in their hotel rooms and make their way to the venue.

The 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards will take place at Radio City Music Hall and is going to be hosted by British comedian and actor Russell Brand. Beside Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa, other confirmed performers include Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z, Muse, Green Day, Janet Jackson and Pink. As for its house band, Wale and UCB are recruited for the duty.

Most recently, the event's executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic said about what Russell wants to do for the gig. "I don't think Russell's looking this year to say, 'How can I be even more controversial?'," he explained. "He wants to come out and celebrate with the audience. I don't think he's looking to shock or upset people. He believes in love! He wants love!"

Other celebrities who will attend the annual event are Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. They will be present at the awards to unveil an extended trailer for movie, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". The "Twilight" fans will also be treated with the debut of the film's soundtrack, Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me in the Equinox".
