Misdemeanor trespassing charge against actor Shia LaBeouf has been dropped by Wednesday morning, December 12.

AceShowbiz - Misdemeanor trespassing charge against actor Shia LaBeouf was dropped Wednesday morning, December 12.

The 21-years-old actor appeared in a Windy City courtroom at 9 A.M. Wednesday to answer the criminal charge when Walgreens Co. and a security company announced via a letter they will not continue a case involving criminal charge against the actor for refusing to leave one of the chain's stores in early November.

Shia, who thus will not be prosecuted over the incident, didn't speak but smiled at the news. An attorney for him said his client was delighted with the news, adding "He is happy to put this behind him and get back to work."

Shia was arrested in downtown Chicago early morning on September 4 outside a Walgreens after refusing to leave the store because he appeared intoxicated. According to the Chicago Police Department spokesperson, Shia's arrest occurred at around 2:30 A.M. after officers received a call from the security guard at the Walgreens, reporting the actor ignored repeated requests to exit the pharmacy.

Guards detained Shia until police arrived and he was taken into custody and booked on one misdemeanor count of trespassing. Following his arrest, Shia was described by authorities as "very courteous and polite."
